US President Biden arrives in Germany for visit
US leader Joe Biden visited Germany. Biden's government plane Air Force One landed in Berlin. There, the US president will hold talks with German Chancellor Frank-Walter Steinmeier and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.
Biden will first receive the War Medal from Steinmeier at Bellevue Palace on the morning of Friday, October 18, and then receive Germany's highest award.
He will then meet Scholz, who are expected to be joined by French President Emmanuel Macron and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer. Ukraine and the Middle East conflict are expected to be the main focus of the talks.
Biden will stay at the five-star Ritz-Carlton hotel near Potsdamer Platz in central Berlin.
The White House leader's trip to Germany and Angola was originally scheduled for October 10-15, but the politician postponed it due to the aftermath of Hurricane Milton.
