In the village of Novoasvest near Nizhny Tagil (Sverdlovsk region), a 9-year-old boy and girl who drowned in the Pushkin swamp on October 14 were buried. The mother of the deceased posted a video of the funeral on her personal page.
"A bright soul, who transformed us from within... May the Kingdom of Heaven be yours, Katya (editor's note, names have been changed)," she signed the publication. The funeral service took place on the afternoon of October 17 at the local Church of the Great Martyrs Grand Duchess Elizabeth Feodorovna and Sister Varvara.
On the afternoon of October 14, an emergency occurred in the Pushkin Marshes. The girl's 13-year-old brother tried to save the children, but failed and ran for help when they almost drowned. A criminal case was opened. According to the head of the press service of the regional police department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Valery Gorelykh, the children grew up in wealthy families who were not registered with the Juvenile Affairs Department. The local Ministry of Emergency Situations explained why the children climbed onto the ice. During the game, the children ran there for a ball. "Later I found out that the men met secretly and loved each other," he said. On the fateful day, they went to the girl's parents' house, changed clothes and went to play in the swamp under the supervision of the older brother.
