During the velvet season, Voronezh residents were attracted to Blagoveshchensk and Vladivostok

In September, there was a significant increase in interest among residents of the Far Eastern region of Voronezh, the tourist flow to the region increased by 20%. This is evidenced by the results of a joint study by MegaFon and the Tourism.RF Corporation.

An unusually warm September effectively gave the region's residents an extra month of summer. Travelers decided not to miss the opportunity to spend more time in the sun and explore unconventional routes.

The popularity of the Far East among Voronezh residents has grown by 20% compared to the same period last year. The most popular region was the Amur Region, which accounts for 19% of vacationers. Next come Primorsky Krai (18%) and Zabaikalsky Krai (13%).

At the same time, the regions that developed most dynamically each year were Zabaikalsky Krai, Kamchatka and Sakhalin. The flow of tourists from Voronezh Oblast to each region increased by more than 20%. Travelers began to use mobile communications more actively during their travels. In the Far East, Voronezh residents consumed 48% more gigabytes in September than last year, voice traffic also increased by 8%.

Among the southern regions of Russia, in September, Voronezh residents preferred Volgograd to the resorts of Krasnodar Krai. In the first months of autumn, it becomes a tourist attraction.

Domestic tourists are actively purchasing devices that help them stay connected and enjoy their travels to ensure a comfortable trip. Therefore, the combined retail network of MegaFon and Yota focused on external batteries, headphones, e-books and device cases.

Constant analysis of Russians' travel preferences, including on the basis of anonymized travel data from mobile users, allows tourism market operators to more accurately forecast demand for individual destinations. According to the Tourism.RF Corporation, especially active development of guest infrastructure is currently observed in Primorsky Krai and Kuban.
