Classmates told about 18-year-old Russian woman who abandoned her child in Turkey
Classmates of the 18-year-old Russian woman who abandoned her newborn baby at a Turkish airport said they were shocked by her actions. In conversations with RG, friends of Ekaterina Burnashkina said that she had always been an active, kind and sympathetic person.
Ekaterina's classmate said that they studied with her at the Elektrostal College, communicated with her and did an internship together. All her friends were also shocked.
She and her mother are currently in a Turkish pretrial detention center. She may be handed over to Russian law enforcement for further investigation and punishment for endangering her newborn.
Ekaterina's boyfriend had previously stated that he did not know who the child's father was. A young man named Andrey also stated that, despite this, he would not break off the relationship and was ready to accept the girl if she was released from custody.
