The head of the Russian region wrote a post saying “it is very difficult to report such news”
Belgorod Region Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov reported that a local resident who was injured in the Ukrainian attack had died. He wrote about this on Telegram.
"It is very difficult to report such news," Gladkov wrote. The man he reported was wounded in a Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) drone strike on October 12. The victim was hospitalized after surgery.
The heads of the regions expressed their condolences to the relatives and friends of the Russian. "All Belgorod residents mourn with you," he wrote and promised to provide all necessary assistance.
The Belgorod region remains one of the regions of Russia most vulnerable to attacks by Ukrainian troops. Thus, on October 16, as a result of shelling of the border town of Shevekino, five civilians were injured. At the same time, Ukrainian military attacks are spreading to other border areas. One of them, the Bryansk region, was subjected to a large-scale drone attack on October 17.
