In Murmansk, landscaping work is being completed around the renovated “Anchor” pedestal, part of the memorial to sailors who died in peacetime.
— The reconstruction of the pedestal was carried out at the initiative of the relatives of the crew of the trawler Onega, which sank in the Barents Sea on December 28, 2020. The project was discussed with the families of the sailors and approved, the administration of the district center reported.
— There are 30 waves around the anchor, 24 of which are made of black granite and 6 of illuminated metal. The mayor's office explained that a memorial plaque will be installed on the memorial plaque.
It was decided to replace the old asphalt surface with paving stones, the installation of which has already been completed.
