Britain imposes sanctions on 22 Russian tankers
The British authorities are introducing new sanctions against Russia. This time, restrictions have been imposed on 18 Russian oil tankers and four tankers carrying liquefied natural gas, the British Foreign Office said in a statement.
The sanctioned tankers are barred from entering UK ports and are unable to access the UK's world-leading maritime services. The total number of tankers hit by sanctions has reached 43, making the sanctions themselves the largest ever imposed on a secretive tanker fleet, Interfax reports.
Sanctions were also imposed on another Russian company, JSC Rusgazdobycha.
