Orban: The West is losing the conflict in Ukraine

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said that the West has lost ground in the Ukrainian conflict and must take responsibility for the current situation, the Pioneer newspaper reported, citing the Hungarian leader.

Orban noted that from the very beginning the West acted as if it were its own war, and now the results are obvious. The situation has turned out to be a lose-lose one. He stressed that when assessing the military situation and the capabilities of both sides, it is clear that the West is now in a less advantageous position.

Earlier, on October 9, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen sharply criticized Viktor Orban's attempts to resolve the Ukrainian conflict during a debate with him. She pointed out the need to continue supporting Kyiv in all areas, noting that Europe should not allow Ukraine to give up.

Orban previously said that Zelensky's victory plan "makes me tremble."
