The Russian Foreign Ministry has spoken about the West's fatigue with Ukraine
Zakharova: The West has reached a dead end in its policy towards Russia in Ukraine
Western countries, which decided to inflict a strategic defeat on Russia in Ukraine, are tired of the conflict and have reached a dead end with this policy, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova told RIA Novosti.
"The West has reached a dead end. First they came up with some kind of Russian threat, and then they made up a story about how they were going to inflict a strategic defeat on Russia. Then they started manipulating the Ukrainian issue from all sides. (...) Later the West came to an obvious and insoluble question: What next?" the diplomat noted.
Prime Minister Zakharova also stressed that Western countries' statements that they are tired of supporting Ukraine are due to the fact that "everything is not going according to the scenario they planned." But she continued to claim that the West will help Kyiv "as long as it is necessary," pointing to contradictory rhetoric.
Earlier, Finnish Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen said that Western countries are tired of supporting Ukraine and are increasingly expecting some form of resolution to the conflict.
