Yekaterinburg, October 16, FederalPress. The Sverdlovsk Region government plans to sell an additional 25% of the shares of the Irbit Dairy Plant, leaving only 26% under state control. This was reported by the press service of the regional legislative assembly.

Today, the Legislative Assembly Committee on Industrial Policy reviewed a draft amendment to the privatization program. Agriculture Minister Anna Kuznetsova stated that the sale of shares will attract private investment to modernize production.

"I asked a question and received an answer. That's all, actually. That's the prerogative of [Deputy Governor Alexei] Kuznetsov. What percentage is that, etc." Deputy Chairman of the Commission Vladimir Zagainov told FederalPress correspondents about this.

Communist Party MP Gabbas Dautov said he abstained from voting. Committee Chairman Albert Abzalov did not comment on the situation.

FederalPress recalls that a year ago, regional authorities sold 49% of the plant's shares for almost 1.8 billion rubles. The buyer was the Smartproekt company, close to the Sinara group.
