Defendant in dollar bill counterfeiting case dies in Novosibirsk courtroom
At about 9 a.m. on Wednesday, October 16, Vyacheslav Bryukhanov, a defendant in the case of counterfeiting dollar bills, died in court.
During the meeting, the man became ill, the publication "Precedent" reports.
According to eyewitnesses, doctors immediately arrived at the scene and began resuscitation. But at about 9:30 a.m., doctors declared him dead. According to preliminary data, the cause of death was a heart attack, and the body was left in the courtroom.
The case against Bryukhanov has been under consideration since the summer of 2023. At today's hearing, the defendant attempted to challenge the preventive measure.
The investigation established that Vyacheslav Bryukhanov and his accomplices organized a printing house in the center of Novosibirsk for the production of counterfeit dollar bills.
