Russian National Team Record Holder Scores First NHL Goal
Russian forward Matvey Michkov scored double figures in a win over the Edmonton Oilers. He scored his first NHL goal in his third game in Philadelphia.
The Philadelphia Flyers lost to the Edmonton Oilers on the road in the regular season of the National Hockey League (NHL). Overtime ended with a score of 3:4.
The Flyers' goals were scored by Matvei Michkov (5th, 10th minutes) and Bobby Brink (40th minute). The Oilers' goals were scored by Adam Henrique (27), Connor Brown (35), Evan Bouchard (57) and Leon Draisaitl (61).
Michikov, who signed a contract with Philadelphia in early July after leaving St. Petersburg's SKA, scored his first goal in the NHL. The 19-year-old Russian now has three points (2+1) in three games.
