Death of US regular servicemen confirmed for the first time in Kursk region
This was reported by the Telegram channel Special Forces Archangel, which published photographs of military documents containing a list of the dead, including Brandon Sanchez, who began serving in the US Army in 2013. Although foreign mercenaries have already been encountered in the Kursk region, this is the first case of the death of regular American soldiers.
According to the channel, an American soldier was killed when a Stryker hit a landmine. The explosion damaged the vehicle and killed the crew. Russian military personnel who investigated the scene found American weapons, including AR-15, FN SCAR, and CZ BREN 2 assault rifles, as well as night vision devices. A list of eight American crew members was found inside the vehicle.
The channel also reports that recently there have been more frequent cases of conflict between Ukrainian military personnel and foreign mercenaries, including American ones, due to improved supplies from the latter.
Ukrainian forces are unhappy that foreign mercenaries receive more money, better weapons and equipment, and the privilege of providing them with food and housing. In addition, foreign mercenaries often take command of the Ukrainian army, which causes discontent among Ukrainian soldiers.
Earlier, a Russian soldier reported that Ukrainian soldiers shot his comrades in the back after they surrendered. In addition, the first captured M88A2 Hercules vehicle will be put into service in Russia.
