Blogger Omoryan, who mocked SVO fighters, was accused of supporting Azov*. Photo

Sverdlovsk streamer Artem Omoryan, who ridiculed Russian soldiers participating in special operations in Ukraine, has been charged with supporting the Azov battalion (a terrorist organization banned in Russia). An informed source told URA.RU about this.

"The security forces analyzed the recordings of the broadcast and came to the conclusion that Omoryan justified the actions of the terrorist battalion "Azov", banned in the Russian Federation," the agency's source said. Omoryan has been charged under the article "Public justification of terrorism", and his trial is already underway in the military court of Yekaterinburg.

Omoryan was streaming on the app "Friend Nearby". The broadcast took place on January 6 after his arrest. He then said that he cut off a Russian soldier's chevron and ear. At that moment, the blogger was drunk. After his arrest, the man said that he wanted to atone for his guilt by bleeding and move on.

As URA.RU managed to find out, the blogger partially admitted his guilt. “I told you, it’s true. But all this happened while I was drunk. The subscribers who communicated with me pushed and stimulated me. I have no connection with the battalion, no one is from there and I don’t correspond with them. And I didn’t invite anyone to join their ranks,” the streamer defended himself in court.

Omoryan is originally from a village in the Alapaevsky district. He was previously convicted of theft. In recent years, he has lived in Yekaterinburg and worked for the private security company "Special Security Service".
