200 citizens were not prosecuted or fined: Aleksandrovsk OMVD revealed abuses
In the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the administrative city of Aleksandrovsk, which was closed in 2020-2023, citizens who committed more than 200 crimes were released from administrative liability, the press service of the regional prosecutor's office reported.
The supervisory agency emphasized: “No action was taken to collect fines from these people, therefore, national interests protected by law were seriously violated.”
The crime was solved by the officers of the operational department of the Secretariat of the FSB of Russia for the Murmansk region together with the investigators of the regional Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation. In the closed administrative-territorial entity of Aleksandrovsk, the Ministry of Internal Affairs opened a criminal case on the fact of abuse of office.
— Currently, the preliminary investigation body is conducting the necessary investigative measures aimed at collecting and securing the evidence base. The progress of the investigation of the criminal case is under the control of the Kolsky District Prosecutor's Office, the supervisory body noted.
