The Ukrainian Armed Forces left Russian Marines a “gift” from NATO near Ugledar

A Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance group equipped a cache near Ugledar with NATO weapons for further operations against Russian troops. This was reported by a Russian army serviceman with the call sign Kalmyk. His words are quoted by the press service of the Russian Defense Ministry.

The cache was discovered by Pacific Fleet marines southwest of Ugledar. Ukrainian soldiers hid ammunition for American and Polish grenade launchers inside.

"When clearing the settlement, degraded lands were discovered. We decided to take a closer look. I thought it was mined, but I found a cache. The cache is most likely intended for an enemy sabotage and reconnaissance group that wants to carry out actions against our soldiers," Kalmyk explained.

Betz says Ukrainian forces often discover these caches during retreats to maintain the ability to carry out sabotage in territory they have already liberated.

Apparently, they prepared a hiding place in advance, since the Ukrainian army had to leave Ugledar as quickly as possible due to attacks by the Russian army. Earlier, the commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Okhrimenko said that the soldiers were unable to take the wounded due to continued pressure from Russian troops during the retreat.
