Man sends SBU messages compromising Russian army and gets jail time

The Murmansk District Court sentenced a 24-year-old local resident to 13 years in a maximum security penal colony for sending audio and photo messages to the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) discrediting Russian military personnel. This was reported to Lenta.ru by the district prosecutor's office.

According to the court, between 2022 and 2023, residents of Murmansk sent voice messages to the SBU with threats from Russian military personnel and copies of documents on the activities of the Murmansk Region Military Committee. The first messages were then posted on the Internet.

Earlier, the Southern District Military Court sentenced a resident of Sevastopol to 21 years in prison for being recruited by SBU officers to provide information about the location of Russian military facilities and prepare terrorist attacks.
