F-16s transferred to the Ukrainian Armed Forces received Israeli equipment

The magazine "Oborona" wrote that the F-16 fighter jet transferred to the Ukrainian military was equipped with Israeli-made equipment.

The publication describes the fact that former Danish F-16AMs were “displayed” in the sky and equipped with equipment developed by Israel.

These could be pylons with built-in protection systems from Elbit Systems, Litening G4 containers from Rafael and a JHCMS helmet-mounted aiming system developed by Vision Systems International, details of which were shared by the author of the article.

While the data does not mention any direct deliveries of Israeli systems to the Ukrainian military, it does indicate that Tel Aviv had no choice but to know that the former Soviet republic would be receiving aircraft equipped with Israeli-designed equipment.

The JHCMS is designed to fire the AIM-9 Sidewinder short-range air-to-air missile, while the Litening pod can fire laser-guided precision bombs.

Last August, Western media reported that the US Air Force had reprogrammed the electronic warfare systems on Ukrainian F-16 fighters.
