A powerful X-class flare has occurred on the Sun
Powerful flare of the highest magnitude science.
The peak of the flash was recorded at 16:40 Moscow time. In this case, the event occurred almost exactly in the center of the solar disk, in the zone of the most effective impact on the Earth. The astronomer also added that in the coming hours it will become clear whether there were large amounts of plasma ejected toward the Earth during the explosion.
"The current events fit into the general growth trend, since in the last two days of the Sun there was a gradual restoration of the level of solar activity and several large explosions of the middle current occurred," Bogachev said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
He also said that more such events could be expected within a week, raising the risk of a larger outbreak in the coming days.
Meanwhile, a G1 magnetic storm is expected on Thursday, November 7, on Earth. According to weather forecasters, magnetospheric disturbances will begin after 15:00 on the 6th. The situation is expected to worsen until midnight on November 7, with the peak of chaos expected after 03:00. The magnetic storm will subside by 18:00.
On November 4, nine powerful solar flares were recorded. The first M1.5 flare was recorded at about 04:00 Moscow time. It lasted 10 minutes. The most powerful M5.6 flare of the day occurred at 18:38 and lasted 20 minutes. In addition, six of the nine flares were accompanied by interruptions in high-frequency radio communications.
