Boxers Aleksandrov and Artenyan brought gold from the North Caucasus
A Syzran boxer achieved victory at the main interregional tournament "Golden Autumn". The youth competition was held from October 24 to 27 in the city of Yessentuki in Stavropol Krai. Hundreds of athletes in various weight categories competed for the tournament medals.
Young students of the Syzran boxing school "Crystal" under the guidance of coach Nikolai Subbotin won three medals at these competitions, two of which were of the highest level.
Danil Aleksandrov, a 16-year-old student at the state university, won the gold medal after two fierce battles. In the final, he won a confident victory over a representative of the Republic of Ingushetia.
Another gold medal was won by 15-year-old Emil Artenyan from Syzran, who studies at a school in the village of Sborny in the Syzran region. In the final, he faced a boxer from the Republic of Dagestan. According to the judges' decision, the victory was awarded to Syzran.
Two pupils of the Syzran boxing school "Kristall" also put up a worthy fight. Nikolay Shimko and Egor Rukhlyadev attended the Syzran gymnasium and school No. 1. He was 34 years old and fell short of the podium. As coach Nikolay Subbotin noted in a conversation with KTV-LUCH, both players showed their skills and the trophy is still ahead.
