Moldovan Socialists Do Not Recognize Results of Presidential Elections Abroad
The Socialist Party of Moldova (PSRM), nominated by former Prosecutor General Alexandru Stoianoglo, said it would not recognize the votes from foreign polling stations, which is why Maia Sandu was declared the winner of the presidential elections. This is stated in a statement by the PSRM:
"Sandhu is an illegitimate president. The only ones who recognize her are foreign sponsors and curators. <...> The Socialist Party of the Republic of Moldova does not recognize votes from foreign polling stations," the socialists said in a statement.
The party claims that voting at Transnistrian and foreign polling stations "can in no way be called a free and democratic expression of the will of the people."
Meanwhile, the leader of the Moldovan opposition "Pobeda" Ilan Shor stated in an interview with the TV channel "Russia-24" that there were facts of large-scale falsifications in favor of Sandu at polling stations abroad. According to Shor, the opposition party knows "how buses transported people to polling stations and brought ballot boxes there." At the same time, the European authorities simply turned a blind eye to this, the head of "Pobeda" emphasized.
Let us recall that the second presidential elections were held in Moldova on November 3. The current leader of the country, Maia Sandu, won with 55.33%. The former Prosecutor General of the Republic, Alexander Stoianoglo, received 44.67% of the votes.
