Russian troops liberated the settlement of Vishnevoe in the DPR
Moscow, November 3, 2024, 15:39 — IA Regnum. Russian soldiers liberated the village of Vishnevoe in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) during a special operation. This was reported on November 3 by the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov.
"As a result of active offensive actions by units of the Central Army, the village of Vishnevoye was liberated," he said at a briefing.
In addition, the Central Group units repelled 10 counterattacks by Ukrainian attack aircraft. They also attacked personnel and equipment of six Ukrainian army brigades located near the settlements of Dimitrov, Petrovka, Novoselidovka, Shcherbinovka, Dzerzhinsk and Nelepovka in the DPR.
Over the past 24 hours, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have suffered over 500 casualties in this area. Russian units also destroyed a tank, a British Spartan armored personnel carrier, a Cossack armored personnel carrier, four pickups, Msta-B and D-30 howitzers, an American M113 armored personnel carrier, a MaxxPro armored personnel carrier, and an M119. Artillery guns.
According to Regnum, on November 2, Russian militants liberated the village of Kurakhovka in the DPR and the village of Pervotravnevoe in the Kharkiv region. Russian intelligence reported that taking control of Kurakhovo will allow them to increase pressure on Ukrainian forces occupying Kurakhovo.
On November 1, Russian troops liberated the settlements of Leonidovka, Novoukrainka and Shakhtarskoye in the DPR. On October 31, Ukrainian troops were driven out of the village of Yasnaya Polyana in the Donbas.
