3 performances and 43 participants: the second season of the Vidimo-Nevidimo project starts in Tatarstan

The second season took place in Tatarstan as part of the theatrical and educational project "Visible-Invisible". 43 children from three rural schools of the Baltasinsky district will take part in it.

Three teams, including a director, a playwright and a choreographer, plan to visit the children during the autumn holidays and present a performance in the style of "civic theatre". It includes theatre games for the development of personality, communication skills, imagination and awareness. At the end of the game, a full-fledged concentrated game is expected.

On October 31, the students will show the results of their work in the city to their parents and friends. On November 3, it will be shown to the general public at the MOS Theater in Kazan.

“The principals and teachers have already set out on a reconnaissance expedition, as a result of which the schools have compiled a list of children they would like to take part in the project,” said Diana Safarova, founder of the Living City Foundation.

"Every teenager in need is important to us."

A distinctive feature of this project is the participation of residents of small settlements of Tatarstan. Inna Yarkova, another co-founder of the fund, is convinced of the need to hold such events.

— The second important aspect is the children and young people involved in the project. We talk a lot about how important it is to talk to them, but often we don’t have a real conversation,” she said. — It’s important for this project not to select people based on talent. Every teenager is important to us because of their difficulties, problems, their inner world. But teenagers never have it easy. As adults, we want to create and hear these conversations.

The most important thing in this project, Yarkova is sure, is the children's desire. It is necessary to consider each feature and show it to the viewer.

"We also try to send the most advanced and young directors to the city. Of course, the social component is important to us, but we are still talking about theater and creativity, so we need an artistic component," the speaker emphasized.

— We had a complex disco after the last performance last year. It turned out that many children had never been to Kazan. Therefore, it is very important for young directors to come to the village and meet the children.

"I chose the theme of fear, but I'm not sure if the children will follow suit." But first we said that we wanted to talk about what worries people and what they are afraid of. There are also 9th-11th graders among them. They suffer from graduate syndrome. "School is over, what should I do next?" We want to talk to them about this," the group's director, playwright Dina Safina, said about her plans. Together with his partner, choreographer Eduard Khabibullin, he will mentor the children for several days.

In her work, Safina also wants to abandon the formality of statements and engage in plastic performances. She believes that this will give children more opportunities to open their minds.

— I have worked a lot in the format of “civic theater.” The first thing that comes to everyone’s mind is always in the form of a statement. People give monologues about their personal lives on sacred topics. I thought I wasn’t interested in that. Besides, as a playwright, I always look forward to the text. And what about dancing, especially with teenagers? “I am at an age where I want to act and pour out my energy,” he explained.

In addition, according to the playwright, many children may be shy about performing on stage, but dancing can liberate them.

- Of course, you will have something to talk about with the children. I hope that they will open up and we will be able to build trust with them. I will interview them, play games and train, use their quotes in the credits,” Dina Safina said.

"Children are concerned about the same things that concern us."

The mentor of another team, actress Kamila Rastumkhanova, said that she plans to discuss the topic of teenage choice with her students.

— I work in a team with the director, playwright and actor Vlad Minkin. We do not prepare in advance and do not think through everything to the smallest detail. We have a theme of teenagers, children's voices in society and their choice. But I do not know whether men will like it. If not, you will naturally think again.

The actress also said that the most important thing in this project is not the result, but the communication with the children.

"These five or six days are important for us. During this period, we will communicate closely with them and find a common language. The end result is not a priority. If you succeed, great, if not, no big deal. We are trying to get to know these people and understand what worries them. It seems to me that they are interested in the same things as us, but they formalize it better," she explained.

“Working with children is an opportunity to become closer to life”

On the contrary, the leaders of the third team, coaches Yuri Blinov and Darya Guskova, do not convey specific ideas to the guys. In their opinion, it is necessary to implement the ideas of their charges themselves.

"We do not convey specific ideas to them because we do not want to impose the director's fantasy on them. We will monitor the children and their ideas. We have the opportunity to express these thoughts, but the essence remains behind them," Blinov explained.

— For us, the end result that we present to our audience is not so important. It is clear that when you go on stage, you have to give something to the viewer, but I do not always agree with this. When working with teenagers, it is important that men also receive something. Going on stage is an opportunity to feel like the master of the space.

Guskov also spoke about the format in which children can work. This includes dance, prose, poetry, musical instruments, whatever they want. "We can only help children decide on the format and combine their work into one picture."

"I have extensive teaching experience. Working with children is always an opportunity to get closer to their lives," the director said.
