Russia has decided to change state guarantees for providing medical care to the population

Russia has decided to change the state coverage of medical care for its citizens. This is stated in the relevant draft state programs posted on the Portal of draft federal regulatory laws.

In particular, the Ministry of Health and Social Security proposed for the first time to regulate the amount of support that can be provided under compulsory health insurance programs.

We are also considering the possibility of establishing standards for the cost of medical examinations for Russians. The Ministry of Health plans to allocate 42.9 billion rubles in 2025, 51 billion rubles in 2026 and 59.5 billion rubles in 2027, covering a population of about 20 million people.

It is also proposed to expand the list of operations performed under the compulsory medical insurance policy. The updated list includes replacement of neurostimulators and pumps, correction of heart rhythm disturbances and other manipulations.

The press service of the Ministry of Health commented on the content of the document: “The Ministry of Health pays great attention to the proposals of the patient community and examines each proposal in detail.”

Earlier, Moscow announced an increase in the budget for the development of medicine. The capital's mayor, Sergei Sobyanin, reported that, taking into account mandatory medical insurance, 1.1 trillion rubles will be allocated for these purposes.
