Russian Railways Shows St. Petersburg-Moscow Train with Two Deckers and Swivel Seats. It Will Be Launched in December

The new double-decker train "Aurora" starts running on the route St. Petersburg - Moscow. Tickets for this train will go on sale from today.

Trains will start running between the capitals on December 19, Russian Railways reports. The Aurora departs from both cities twice a day, at 6:00 and 13:50.

"The train will consist of 15 modern and comfortable carriages, capable of simultaneously transporting more than 1,000 passengers," the company says.

Train tickets can be purchased on the Russian Railways website, in the Russian Railways passenger mobile app and at railway ticket offices. Go to: Who and how will build trains for the Moscow-St. Petersburg high-speed highway?

The updated Aurora train was presented at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum in June. At that time, the Federal Passenger Company presented only the general concept of the train, but now it is known what the train will actually look like. It has rotating seats, sockets and other amenities for passengers.

In September, Veliky Novgorod presented a full-size model of a high-speed train that will run on the Moscow-St. Petersburg high-speed line. A total of 43 trains are planned for the high-speed railway project by 2030.
