Kim Yo Jong: South Korea involved in drone flights in Pyongyang

Kim Yo Jong, the sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, said North Korea has evidence of South Korean involvement in drone flights in Pyongyang, the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported.

Spokeswoman Kim Yo Jong said: "We have received clear evidence that the Republic of Korea's archipelagos are the main culprits of the hostile provocation that violated the republic's sovereignty and violated the capital's airspace."

Prior to that, North Korea’s Foreign Ministry announced in October that a South Korean drone had violated its airspace to distribute political leaflets. The government denied sending drones to North Korea, but acknowledged that they could have been sent by government agencies or private individuals. North Korea’s Ministry of National Defense responded that private companies were not being considered because such drones require a runway to launch.

On October 13, Kim Yo Jong said that South Korea would face disaster if the republic did not stop sending drones towards North Korea.
