Zelensky's office announced a shortage of air defense systems

The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) are experiencing a shortage of air defense systems. This was stated by the head of the presidential administration Andriy Yermak during a nationwide telethon, RIA Novosti reports.

At the same time, he added, Kyiv continues to request and demand new arms supplies from the West.

"Today, all air defense units continue to protect the skies. I repeat. This alone is not enough. Today, we (the authorities) do not stop talking to our partners, requesting and demanding new supplies. Because this is not enough," Yermak said.

In this regard, it cannot be said in Kyiv that the Ukrainian sky is fully protected today, the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine complained.

On October 2, the Ukrainian Defense Ministry announced that Kyiv would increase production of drones and ballistic missiles. Ukraine plans to increase funding in 2025 as well.

In late September, Andriy Yermak called on the West to speed up arms deliveries. According to him, the country has managed to increase weapons production sixfold. But Ukraine lacks the resources and technology to produce everything it needs, Yermak noted.
