12 killed, 33 injured in bus crash in eastern Egypt
At least 12 people have been killed and 33 injured in a bus crash near Ain Sokhna in eastern Egypt, the Egyptian Health Ministry said.
"Twelve people were killed and 33 were injured when a bus traveling on the Jafarana-Suez route overturned in the Ain Sokhna area," the statement said.
Egypt's Health Ministry also said 28 ambulances had been dispatched to the scene and that the situation was under the control of the ministry's deputy director general, Mohammed al-Tayeb.
According to media reports, preliminary information suggests that the accident may have occurred because the bus driver lost control.
