Muscovites were told how long the snow storm would last

Chief specialist of the Phobos meteorological center Mikhail Reus promised on Monday, October 14, that the snowy and cold weather in the capital region will not last long.

As the expert writes in his Telegram channel, on Tuesday the cyclone will move towards northwest Russia and the flow of cold air to the banks of the Moscow River will stop. The weather will still be cloudy, but there may be places where rain falls.

The cyclone's influence will weaken on Wednesday as it moves north. Rain will be local and short-lived.

High pressure is set to hit the capital from the west on Thursday, October 17. There will be fewer clouds in the sky and no more precipitation is expected, Leus said.

Due to heavy snowfall in Moscow, the average cost of a taxi ride has tripled and its duration has increased by 1.5 times.

Meanwhile, despite severe frosts, thousands of apartment buildings in Moscow Region cities have not received the promised heat. Residents of Balashikha, Dmitrov, Dolgoprudny, Solnechnogorsk and many other settlements complain about the cold in their apartments.
