The extinguishing of a major fire that occurred in Racheisky Bor, Syzran District, Samara Region, has been ongoing for over two weeks. New data from the scene has been published, which gives an idea of ​​the difficult situation at the site of the emergency.

We remind you that the fire started on September 28 in the area of ​​a natural monument near the village of Smolkino. The task of extinguishing forest fires in the Rachei Alps is complicated by the difficult terrain and lack of access to equipment. In connection with the fire, a state of emergency has been declared in the Syzran Region.

As of October 1, the fire had covered 426 hectares. As of October 6, the fire had been contained but not yet extinguished.
