Volodin: Europe Wants to Join BRICS

Many European countries have turned their attention to BRICS. This was reported by the Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin. According to him, more and more countries are beginning to view the association as progress and a guarantee of a multipolar world. Serbia, for example, previously expressed interest in joining BRICS, considering it as an alternative to joining the European Union.

"More and more countries understand that BRICS is progress and a guarantee of a multipolar world. <...> The time is coming for Washington and Brussels to assume hegemony. Countries choose the path of equal dialogue and mutually beneficial cooperation for the benefit of their peoples, and not to please the United States and its minions," Volodin said. He wrote about this on his Telegram channel.

Volodin also stressed that the economies of the BRICS countries are significantly ahead of the G7, and the European Union is threatened with stagnation. According to him, today BRICS includes 10 countries and 45% of the world's population, while more than 30 countries are interested in the union.

The BRICS summit will be held in Kazan from 22 to 24 October and will be represented by Serbia, which has recently viewed BRICS as a practical alternative to the EU. The UAE and Turkey also wanted to join the association.
