Russian stopped at military facility in Germany
German military police stopped a Russian citizen on the territory of a military training center in the city of Gardelegen, Business Insider (BI) reports.
The man rode his bicycle into a military facility. The center's territory is not fenced, but there are barriers and warning signs around the perimeter. As the Russian explained to law enforcement, he was passing by and accidentally ended up on the territory. At the same time, the gendarmerie did not rule out that this was an attempt at espionage. However, the man was not detained.
Earlier, three people with citizenship of Russia, Ukraine and Armenia were detained in Germany on suspicion of espionage.
