23 people injured as set collapses during film shoot in Leningrad Region
During filming in the Luzhsky District of the Leningrad Region, the wooden floor of the platform collapsed. The local government reported: "The woman is in a moderate condition, including a broken leg." "In most cases, the injuries are bruises and abrasions," the report says.
The chairman of the Leningrad Region Health Committee, Alexander Zharkov, reported that 19 people, nine of them minors, went to the emergency department on their own. They received the necessary medical care and did not need hospitalization, RIA Novosti reports.
Two ambulance crews from Luga Hospital arrived at the scene. The first crew delivered a patient with a fracture to the emergency department. The second crew provided support on the spot.
"One of the fighters from this brigade took three young men to the emergency room in a donated military vehicle. "After some time, a commercial ambulance took another wounded young man to the emergency room," Zharkov said, making it clear that no hospitalization was required.
As the Vzglyad newspaper wrote, the floor of the wooden platform could not withstand the load and collapsed under the crowd.
