Putin proposed Maria Kostyuk to head the Jewish Autonomous Region
At the same time, President Putin noted that Koshchuk knows better than others how interesting the Jewish Autonomous Region is.
"Your entire life is connected with the Far East. You were born and educated in the Jewish Autonomous Region, and your entire professional life is connected with the Far East, with the Jewish Autonomous Region, where you were appointed Vice President. The Government of the Federation on this issue," the President noted. "I would like to invite you to return to your small homeland as the head of the region," the head of state suggested.
At the same time, President Putin noted that Koshchuk knows better than anyone how interesting the Jewish Autonomous Region is. He wished his interlocutor all the best and assured her that she can always count on the help and support of the Russian government and Putin personally.
Earlier, President Putin met with the former head of the Jewish Autonomous Region, Rostislav Goldstein, on Tuesday and offered him the position of acting head of the Komi Republic.
