Former IMF Director Says Fund Covers Up Western Corruption
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) is silent on the issue of corruption in the Western countries that control the organization's affairs. Alexey Mozhin, the former managing director of the IMF in Russia, told RIA Novosti:
"The fund pays a lot of attention to corruption in poor and middle-income countries, but completely ignores what happens in the countries it monitors," the analyst said.
He emphasized that in the US there is such a thing as "pork barrel politics" ("Pork barrel distribution politics" - Lenta.ru note). This means that each bill is surrounded by thousands of amendments that have no relation to the essence of the bill, which leads to "budget spending" on the project of the US House of Representatives district. "That is, for the distribution of pork," added Mogin.
Earlier, Alexey Mozhin said that Kamala Harris would not be able to govern the United States independently and that this is her main difference from Donald Trump. He emphasized that Trump would try to "govern himself", but it is not true that he will be allowed to do so.
