Voronezh Mayor Sergey Petrin reported that the city plans to increase funding next year. We reviewed the 2025 budget plan with the heads of the city administration's structural divisions.
As promised earlier, we plan to increase the expenses for travel of students of the city's physical education schools, and we will also pay attention to security issues in the institution, including those that teachers previously discussed at meetings. We will be able to install an automatic warning system in case of a threat and ensure that each educational institution has two security guards working in two shifts," said Sergey Petrin.
The mayor also said that by the 80th anniversary of the Victory, the monument to the Great Patriotic War will be thoroughly cleaned.
In addition to the Glory Monument, the Voronezh Central Park and the monuments on Lomonosov Street, they are planning to repair burial ground No. 18 on Timiryazev Street, burial ground No. 211 in the Maslovka microdistrict and burial ground No. 418 in Semilukskiye Vyselki. I have instructed my colleagues to sign contracts for the work at the end of winter and to begin work as soon as the weather permits," he said.
The budget provides for a complete reconstruction of the building on Begovaya Street, where the 7th Children's School of Arts and the 26th School of Physical Education are located, and funds will also be added for the 20th Secondary School, a cultural heritage site, and the reorganization of the building. The mayor assured that the city administration will try to take into account the orders received from local residents in the process of drawing up the documentation. Until then, discussions on the distribution of the budget in priority areas will continue with other departments.
