In the Leningrad Region, more than 30 residents of a gypsy village received summonses

During a police raid, residents of a "Gypsy village" in the Leningrad Region received a summons. This was reported by RIA Novosti regarding regional departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The check took place in the village of Verkhnie Oselki, where traffic violators had been searched the day before. Law enforcement officers arrived in the gypsy village, the driver managed to escape, and local residents grabbed the officers' clothes and pushed them away.

"The 32 men who were taken for questioning to the police station in the village of Verkhnie Oselki were summoned to the military registration and enlistment office to undergo military registration," the publication reports.

During the investigation it was revealed that many private houses in the "Gypsy Village" were built without permits and therefore could be demolished.

It is reported that the caught traffic violator was a 19-year-old driver. In addition to the young man, three other villagers were detained at the police station, one of whom became the "instigator of the illegal activity."
