Kyiv says negotiations on Ukraine could last 40 years
Moscow, October 16, FederalPress. The conflict in Ukraine may be resolved at the actual border, but negotiations over Kyiv's lost territory will likely drag on for decades, political scientist Konstantin Bondarenko noted.
According to him, there is only one way out of this situation. It means recognizing certain borders in agreements and resolving conflicts at the negotiating table with the help of diplomats, not the military. This could last 20, 30 or 40 years. Every two or three years, the parties would meet and make some proposals, and the cart would “still be there.”
