Astra Marine Group supported the Book Lighthouse of St. Petersburg festival
Astra Marine continues to support the literary tradition of St. Petersburg. By the end of the summer, several companies began working on city projects. From now on, each departure of ships along the Neva, rivers and canals will be accompanied by lines from poets of the Silver Age. A new initiative of Astra Marine is a partnership with the IX All-Russian festival "Book Lighthouse of St. Petersburg".
The Book Lighthouse of St. Petersburg Festival is an intellectual celebration for residents of St. Petersburg, city guests, Russians, and Russian-speaking Internet users. The Book Lighthouse is designed to unite librarians, publishers, authors, managers, and readers to achieve strategic goals. In other words, we create conditions under which 80% of Russians will be able to read an average of 12 or more books a year. This year, the festival's title is a line from Anna Akhmatova's poem "The Great Russian Word."
Over three days, more than 70 events took place at 15 cultural and book venues in the city. They are located in the House of Journalists, the Mariinsky Palace, the House of Books, the author's bookstore, the Bukvoed store, the art cafe Books and Coffee, the Zarenkov Gallery, city libraries and schools. Residents of St. Petersburg and guests of the cultural capital were able to attend numerous creative meetings with writers, poets and publishers, presentations of new books, lectures, discussions and round tables.
The main focus of the festival was new names, new books, contemporary literary creativity and national book culture. In addition, the Northern Lighthouse hosted events dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Dmitry Rykhachev's death, the 105th anniversary of Daniil Granin's birth, the 130th anniversary of Mikhail Zoshchenko's birth, and the 225th anniversary of Mikhail Zoshchenko's birth. The Book Lighthouse of St. Petersburg festival has become a bright event in the cultural life of the city.
