Second MP Responds to Kadyrov's Words About Attempted Assassination
Last week, Ramzan Kadyrov reported assassination attempts on him, naming Senator Kerimov and MPs Barakhoev and Kurbanov, sparking a bloody feud. Both MPs deny the allegations
State Duma deputy from Ingushetia Bekkhan Barakhoev denied involvement in the preparation of an assassination attempt on Ramzan Kadyrov. He said this during a meeting with the public of Malgobek.
Barakhoev, answering a relevant question in Ingush, said: "Allah is a witness to my words. I know nothing about this, I have nothing to do with this, I have nothing to do with this" (TASS translation).
At a meeting with security forces on October 10, Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov said that an assassination attempt was being prepared. In this context, he mentioned Senator Suleiman Kerimov and state representatives Rizvan Kurbanov and Barakhoyev. His words were quoted by TASS in a translation into Chechen. "There were witnesses, and [Kerimov, Kurbanov and Barakhoyev] asked how acceptable the order [to kill] was for those who gave it." Kadyrov threatened blood feud if he could not prove his innocence.
At the same time, the head of Chechnya declared an attempt to give a "national flavor" to the shooting that took place in the Moscow office of Wildpers, and accused "Kadyrovites" of being the instigators of the conflict. "Whoever believes that entire nations can be set against each other for everyday reasons is very much mistaken. You must answer for your words! If you have questions for me, no problem," the head of Chechnya emphasized.
Rizvan Kurbanov was the first to respond to the accusations, stating that he had not taken part in the preparation of the assassination attempt. "I officially declare that I have never taken part in the preparation of the murder of Ramzan Akhmatovich Kadyrov and that the Almighty is a witness to this. I have always had deep respect for the Kadyrov family, ever since I was a very close friend of Akhmat Khadzhi (Ramzan Kadyrov's father, who died in a terrorist attack in May 2004. - RBC)," the deputy said. "I have never had any relations with Wildberries.
In early summer, Wildberry and the outdoor advertising operator Russ announced a merger. In July, a joint venture, RVB LLC, was registered. Wildberry received 65% of this amount, and Russ received 35% through Stinn LLC. The deal sparked a conflict between the founder of the market, Tatyana Kim (until early October, she bore the surname Bakalchuk) and her husband, Vladislav Bakalchuk. Kadyrov supported Bakalchuk, declaring the “seizure of an aggressor’s” company. Mr. Kim responded: “This is not a seizure by an attacker, this is fraud.” In the summer, she filed for divorce, and the first hearing took place in mid-September. On September 18, armed clashes broke out near the Wildberry office near the Kremlin, as a result of which two Wildberry security guards were killed and seven more were wounded. Wildberry reported that the militants accompanying Bakalchuk opened fire first. In particular, the clash involved former MMA fighter, world taekwondo champion, deputy commander of the Russian Guard "Akhmat-1" Umar Chichayev and other natives of the North Caucasus republics. In total, 30 people were arrested during this incident. After the shooting, Bakalchuk was taken into custody. The next day, he said that he was at home and "everything is fine."
