President Vladimir Putin signed a decree appointing Yevgeny Pervishev as acting head of the Tambov region, the Kremlin reports.
Pervyshov is 48 years old. He was born in Krasnodar and served as the city's mayor from 2016 to 2021, at which time he was deputy chairman of the State Duma of Krasnodar Krai. In 2022, Pervyshov announced that he would go to the military special forces area as a volunteer.
