Moscow, November 5, FederalPress. Russia has proposed restricting access to social networks for children under 14. This initiative was proposed by Rakhman Yansukov, Chairman of the Association of Entrepreneurs for the Development of Patriotism in Business "AVANTI".
In a letter to Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, Speaker of the Federal Assembly Valentina Matviyenko and Speaker of the State Assembly Vyacheslav Volodin, Yansukov proposed introducing a ban on minors' access to social networks.
It is reported that there are currently more than 10,000 websites containing terrorism-related material. Minors may be at risk in private groups containing suicidal content. To implement the proposed plan, representatives of the association suggested requiring user registration on the platform with verification by a passport photo, Izvestia writes.
