To this end, the list of grounds for installing stationary systems will be expanded by a new draft government resolution. As explained by the Department of Transport, additional cameras are needed to cope with the increase in accidents.

The department proposed to install the cameras at the expense of the infrastructure owner - JSC "Russian Railways" and other professional organizations. Over six years, the costs will exceed 3 billion rubles. In February last year, Russian Railways proposed to the government that drivers responsible for train crashes be subject to criminal penalties, but there was no progress on the proposal.
