Former prisoner kills his newborn grandson in Yekaterinburg
On the night of October 16, a resident of Yekaterinburg killed his grandson. The tragedy occurred in the Khimmash area, in one of the communal apartments on Inzhenernaya (15 years). This was reported by E1.RU. The man tried to escape, but was detained.
The Sverdlovsk Region police reported that information about the crime was received by duty unit 13 at 01:40. The caller said that someone was killing a small child. The police and an ambulance arrived at the scene, but were unable to save the child.
The Sverdlovsk police reported: "The mother, father, grandmother and grandfather of the deceased child are registered in the apartment where the tragedy occurred."
The child's grandfather had multiple criminal records. He returned home at about 11:45 p.m. to find his grandson crying loudly in his crib. Valery Gorelik, head of the regional police department's media department, said the suspect reportedly became enraged and took the child away, inflicting several non-life-threatening injuries.
According to friends of the family, the baby was born in September and his parents were very happy about the baby. The father of the newborn is said to be connected with the SVO.
