30 Science Clubs for High School Students to Open in Moscow

Moscow will host 30 scientific clubs for students. They can create and present research projects under the guidance of experienced mentors.

Anastasia Rakova, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Social Development: "Students will master the main stages of the scientific process: from choosing a research topic to obtaining final results. We expect that the first participants of the club will be about 1,000 high school students."

Children can choose one of seven areas: computer science, linguistics, ecology, geography, physics, chemistry and biology. The program lasts two months, during which students attend round tables, quests, business games and trainings.

Children will be able to present their best projects at the capital conferences "Life Sciences", "Kurchatov Project", "Principles of Medicine", "Engineers of the Future", as well as at the Moscow City Competition of Research and Project Work, the "Big Challenge" competitions, the Moscow Pre-Professional Olympiad and the All-Russian Labor Olympiad. This will help you fill out your portfolio and earn additional points for your Unified State Exam results.

Registration is open until October 16. You can find out more and take the entrance exam on the website of the Center for Pedagogical Excellence.
