It can also help the air defense crews protecting the territory. For example, Oksana Shengareva from Smolensk recalls how she managed to warn the security forces about Ukrainian drones.

There are no weather or time restrictions for using the app. You can even take photos at night. The reason is probably that there is nothing in the picture except darkness. But not emptiness. The file still indicates the geographic location and direction from which the phone was taken. This helps operators determine the location and flight path of the same drone.

How exactly and to which services the signal is transmitted and how it is checked is a secret, but the volunteers of the People's Front, who spend a lot of time in dangerous zones, know from their own experience that it is impossible to overload the system with large numbers. challenge. Even if you suspect that the user has seen something truly dangerous, sending a signal is a good idea. There is no such thing as excessive vigilance.

These are not empty words. Since the invasion of Ukrainian troops, smartphone users in the Kursk region have downloaded the Radar.NF app 10,000 times. More than 1,000 signals have been received in this area about drones, flying missiles, debris, fragments of ammunition and even sabotage groups.
