Margarita Simonyan, editor-in-chief of the international media group "Russia Today" and the RT television channel, expressed her opinion on the existing system of the Unified State Exam (USE), RIA Novosti reports.

Simonyan spoke today at the “Knowledge First” marathon, organized by the “Knowledge” society in Sochi.

Margarita Simonyan responded: “I believe that unified national exams can and should be a good system.”

However, the editor-in-chief is dissatisfied with how the system is structured in our country. "But how is it conducted, what questions are there in this Unified State Exam? This is a mockery of the country, children and parents."

Simonyan noted that the questions of the Unified State Exam are not connected with the school curriculum. "Children learn only one thing, but the question is: is this being done to drive the entire nation crazy?"

She believes that subjects such as history and literature cannot fit into the format of a unified national exam and exams in them turn into roulette.

"Spain has launched an investigation into the matter together with its king and prime minister," the statement said.
