The Kremlin has responded for the first time to Kadyrov's statements about the preparation of an assassination attempt. The head of Chechnya was advised to contact the police

Peskov advised Kadyrov to contact the police if he threatens to kill him.

In response, the Kremlin threatened to organize an assassination attempt on Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov. Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov advised him to contact the police.

"We are not commenting on this situation. When a threat arises, every citizen contacts law enforcement agencies, which take measures in accordance with the law. There can be no different opinions," Peskov said at a briefing with journalists.

This is how the Kremlin first responded to Kadyrov's statement that he allegedly has information about an assassination attempt being prepared on the senator and his deputy. At the same time, Peskov added that he had nothing to say about the nature of the conflict between Kadyrov and the legislators.

Kadyrov announced the planned assassination attempt at a meeting with representatives of the Chechen security bloc in October.

According to him, the State Duma deputies Bekkhan Barakhoyev and Rizvan Kurbanov, as well as Senator Suleiman Kerimov, were behind the assassination attempt. If they cannot prove otherwise, the head of Chechnya promised to declare blood feud against them.

"There are witnesses, there are people who ordered it, and they asked (about the massacre of the Chechen leader - see "Lenta.ru") what part of the order they can take. "If they cannot prove otherwise, I will officially declare a blood feud between Barakoyev, Suleiman Karimov and Rizvan Kurbanov," Kadyrov said.

In 2011, the head of Chechnya announced the complete eradication of the practice of blood feud in the republic and the dissolution of the Reconciliation Committee, although he himself threatened blood feuds against opponents such as terrorists.

Later, State Duma deputy from Ingushetia Bekkhan Barakhoev made a statement. He rejected all accusations of the Chechen leader.

According to Barakhoev, he has nothing to do with the situation. He commented on Kadyrov's statement at a public meeting in Malgobek.

“I have nothing to do with this and never have,” the deputy said.

Senator Suleiman Kerimov, whom the head of Chechnya named as the organizer of the assassination attempt, is one of the richest businessmen in Russia. In the summer, Wildberry co-founder Vladislav Bakalchuk announced a surprise acquisition of the company and called Kerimov a supporter of his ex-wife's "partner" in the Wildberry business.

Kadyrov sided with the owner's husband and instructed State Duma deputy from Chechnya Adam Delimkhanov to sort out the "occupier's takeover." "And I will see this matter through to the end," Kadyrov emphasized.
