NATO Secretary General Announces Alliance Strategy on Ukraine
The North Atlantic Alliance's strategy towards Ukraine is to continue military action. This was stated by NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte at a press conference in Brussels, RIA Novosti reports.
The Secretary General stressed that if a decision is made to begin negotiations with Russia within the framework of this strategy, Ukraine will be able to conduct them from a "strong position."
The NATO chief stressed that the alliance must do everything to ensure that Kyiv continues to be able to act. According to him, Western support should ensure a strong negotiating position.
Rutte had previously said that the new coalition command would provide a "significant change in the situation" on the Ukrainian battlefield. He noted that the new NATO Security Assistance and Training Headquarters (NSATH) in Ukraine would coordinate the provision of training and military equipment to Ukraine by alliance partners.
