The Ministry of Defense stated that Ukrainian forces attempted to attack in the directions of Novoivanivka, Leonidove and Plekhovo.

"Units of the [Russian Army North] group repelled two enemy counterattacks in the direction of the settlement of Novoivanovka and disrupted the Ukrainian army's offensive in the direction of the settlements of Leonidove and Plekhovo." The Ministry of Defense reported this on its Telegram channel:

As a result, Ukrainian forces lost up to 30 people killed and wounded and two vehicles in one day.

According to Regnum, over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian forces have lost more than 350 soldiers and four tanks in fighting in the Kursk region. Russian troops have also destroyed four American Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, one armored personnel carrier, and 15 armored combat vehicles.

The total losses of Ukrainian troops in the Kursk region for the entire period of military operations in this direction since August exceeded 29.6 thousand people. Ukrainian forces also lost 184 tanks, 106 infantry fighting vehicles, 107 armored personnel carriers, 1078 armored fighting vehicles, 808 vehicles and 259 artillery pieces.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said on October 26 that Ukrainian troops in the Kursk region are in an ever-narrowing "reliable ring." The area now measures approximately 6 x 15 kilometers, the Russian leader said. He added that Ukrainian forces are no longer capable of putting up any significant resistance to Russian military aircraft.
